Family Trips


We can offer you a number of options for your family vacation. Is everybody interested in a traveling pack trip? All the family members ride guided by one of our crew. The wranglers pack up and move the camp, your very own cook prepares the meals. Your entire family (including Mom and Dad) get to participate in the vacation. No shopping for food, packing up the food, or cooking! Bring your sleeping bag and personal items - we supply the rest - including the tent.

We offer scheduled Parent/Child Trail Rides, too. You can enjoy time with your child/neice/nephew/grandchild. This is a great 3 day vacation. Our crew does the cooking and cleaning you enjoy lots of fresh air, riding, fishing and open space.

If total relaxation is your goal - try one of our base camp options! Our trusty mules and horses will transport you and your duffel to a base camp. Our cook prepares your meals. Your horse and our crew will be available to take you out riding if you wish. Or you can fish, read, snooze or hike!

If you are after a camping adventure on your own, but need a bit of help getting your equipment in and out of your campsite, look at our dunnage or spot trip options. You bring your own food and equipment. We can move it - and you - to your favorite spot. We will come back to get you at a predetermined date.

Rock Creek Pack Station provides all of its trips as a permitee of the Inyo National Forest. All Trail Rides and Packing Schools are subject to an 8% regulatory reservation fee, plus 3% USFS fee.
