2012 HIGH SIERRA PACK TRIPS

The mountain passes will be free by late June! Flowers, fish, streams and spectacular views will be waiting for you. Come enjoy the Hilton Lakes for a few days. Want to celebrate an adventurous 4th of July? You'll love the sparkle of the stars from a comfortable camp chair.

Our full service base camps will be available SOON and the fishing is always SPECTACULAR! Enjoy as many carefree vacation days as you choose in the JOHN MUIR WILDERNESS area with complete accommodations, including meals provided by a qualified packer and outfitter. We invite singles, couples, families and groups of all kinds to join others and enjoy beautiful scenery, good fishing, and have comfortable accommodations with meals and horses provided.

Our staff prepares generous, tasty meals with plenty of fresh vegetables, fruits and meat. Tentage provided... all you need bring are your personal items and sleeping bag. Relax and set your own pace. Excellent lake and stream fishing for Golden, Brook, Brown, and Rainbow trout, all within easy hiking or riding distance from camp. In addition to the camp cook, there is a wrangler to saddle your personal horse for daily rides. This is a family vacation everyone can enjoy!

Beginning May 19th, you can spend a few days tracking wild mustangs from our base camp in the Pizona area. Be ready for vast landscapes, beautiful sunsets and the opportunity to see the mustangs and their herd activities. Bring your camera!

Rock Creek Pack Station offers a variety of mountain packing services to fit most any need. Hike the Sierras, while our trusty stock pack your goods and our cook prepares your meals... you carry ONLY your daypack. The Northern Yosemite Trek takes you through some of the more remote and beautiful areas of Yosemite.

Check out the SUMMIT MT. WHITNEY hiking with pack stock trip. This is a great itinerary and allows you to get in four days of hiking before you summit the top of Mt. Whitney. Experience the subalpine beauty of Sequoia National Park

We offer scheduled traveling pack trips as long as 10 days or as short as 3. The Silver Divide Trail Ride is a five-day pack trip that will afford you some of the most astounding panoramic views you'll ever witness! Enjoy Indian Summer in the Sierras on our Mono Creek Trail Ride.

If you are visiting our area for only a day or two, consider a day ride. We offer day rides to Hilton Lakes, Dorothy Lake and Little Lakes Valley. The lush green beauty of the mountains is a wonderful respite as a morning ride or all-day adventure.

We have access to the Golden Trout Wilderness and Sequoia National Park.

Spend a week at our packing school, learning backcountry horsemanship and camping skills.

We provide a full spectrum of custom trips : deluxe "full service" trips, dunnage transport and spot trips. We can give you just a little help - or a full service vacation.

The pack station is located in the Eastern Sierra Nevadas between Mammoth Lakes and Bishop California. Take highway 395 to Tom's Place Resort, continue 10 miles south on Rock Creek road, passing Rock Creek Lake and climbing above Rock Creek Canyon. For maps of the areas we service, please look here.

Rock Creek Pack Station provides all of its trips as a permitee of the Inyo National Forest. All Trail Rides and Packing Schools are subject to an 8% regulatory reservation fee, plus 3% USFS fee.
